I am an accredited member of the BACP and a Director and Senior Professional Member of the Association for Counselling & Therapy Online (ACTO). I have over twenty years’ experience in personal development with a background in management consultancy, coaching, training, teaching and therapy. I am a counsellor, coach and clinical supervisor to both qualified and student counsellors.
I offer person-centred, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and personal development coaching in a relaxed and supportive environment by telephone, webcam or fully encrypted email - whichever works best for you. I also offer EMDR for trauma and distressing memories via webcam. I work with both short term interventions and long term support depending on your requirements. I will work alongside you in a non-judgmental, confidential, empathic way which will allow you the time and space to make sense of, and face, whatever issues you have to enable you to move forward.
For both therapy and coaching, I work in a ‘person-centred’ way, which is counselling speak for putting you at the centre of the work. There are no set agendas, and as you are the most important person in the relationship - your hour will be all about you, giving you the head-space to make sense of what is going on in your life.
Being person-centred means that I will not judge you, but rather will enter your world to support you to make choices and changes to your thinking, emotions and actions. I offer empathy, not sympathy to empower you to gain clarity and growth. I will make you think and encourage you towards change - therapy is not just chatting, it can be hard work.

I offer supervision to integrative counsellors and students with a person-centred foundation, who use humanistic, CBT and Solution-focused techniques.

My Supervision Model has a foundation of Bernard’s Discrimination Model (1997) which, in the original model, combines the three roles of teacher, consultant and counsellor (which I prefer to use mentor, reflector and coach) in a matrix with three functions of intervention (supervisee behaviours/interventions), conceptualisation (the supervisee’s process and understanding of the client) and personalisation (supervisee self-awareness). I integrate this foundation with a Solutions-Focused Supervision ethos. Solution-focused tools are integrated and used during any role/task combination. For example, Miracle Questions and Possibilities enable goal setting and creativity; Exceptions encourage supervisees to find positives in themselves and their clients; Scaling Questions measure interventions and progress; and Small Changes encourages supervisees self-efficacy and client-focus.
