I am an experienced counsellor and supervisor, registered and accredited with BACP. I specialise in working with young people (aged 16 and over) who are facing difficult situations. I also work with adults who may be facing issues which affect their family and would like some support in working through these difficulties.
There may be something going on in your life that’s making you unhappy, but you don’t know how to sort it out. Or maybe there’s something that you want to talk about, but you’re not sure about telling your friends or family. I’ll help you make sense of what’s going on so that you can work out what you’d like to do.
My approach is flexible and collaborative; together we will look at what is affecting you and how counselling could help. You may want to use counselling to express your feelings, to learn practical skills to help you manage difficult situations, or a combination of both. I have experience of working in short-term therapy where we can focus on a specific issue and long-term therapy where we can explore your concerns in greater depth.
I work with young people (16 years+), adults and individuals and families living with autism.
Please note: I only work with individuals living in the UK.
I also have a particular interest in autism and neurodiversity. I have a master's in autism (MEd Autism) and my research focused on adapting therapy for people with Asperger's Syndrome. I have extensive personal and professional experience of Asperger's Syndrome which I use to provide counselling and support for individuals and families living with these conditions.
