Maybe you are the person who everyone comes to for support – but who supports you? Perhaps the very person you need support from is the one who is causing your pain. Hello to you. I am Paula and I am here to listen and to help sort through your feelings and troubles.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a professional member of the Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Online (ACTO). Alongside working online, I also offer Face to Face Counselling and Walk & Talk Therapy in the North West of England.
I offer a safe, confidential place to talk about your life and anything which may be painful, confusing or uncomfortable. If you find the thought of talking about your feelings daunting, please be assured that there is no pressure to talk about anything until you feel ready. I offer short term and long term support and work with both current worries and difficulties as well as past issues which are still causing you pain.

I have been counselling for over 10 years and have experience of working with trauma, abuse, relationships, chronic illness, bereavement, emotional distress, anxiety and depression. Some people feel embarrassed coming to counselling, thinking other people’s problems are much worse and wondering why they can’t seem to cope when other people can. Are you looking for a supervisor with online and telephone experience? The recent update to the BACP competencies in supervision states “It is considered ethically desirable to receive at least some elements of regular supervision by the same method of communication that is used with clients" I hold an advanced certificate in Clinical Supervision including Online and Telephone Working alongside an advanced certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling.
I am a Person-Centered Counsellor with over 10 years experience of working with a diverse range of issues including trauma, childhood sexual abuse, relationships, chronic illness, bereavement, emotional distress, couples, anxiety and depression. Alongside my private practice I have experience of working for women's charities, Multiple Sclerosis Society, an adult residential setting and for the NHS as well as EAP providers.
In my supervision practice I incorporate the model developed by Hawkins and Shohet, known as the seven eyed model.
As with my counselling work, I place a huge value on the relationship between supervisee and supervisor and I strive to provide a caring, supportive, collaborative, sometimes gently challenging space for you to talk through any challenges or stuck moments you may be having.
